This property is situated in a highly desirable and well established neighbourhood on the outskirts of Ashford, Kent. The proposed renovation of the property will bring numerous positive impacts to both the home and its surrounding area, providing benefits for all involved.

We were tasked with creating architectural drawings to transform a property that had been poorly extended in the past, resulting in a series of narrow rooms and unnatural flow of space.

We approached the renovation project with the goal of creating a harmonious and functional interior that maximises the use of all available space. To achieve this, we opted for an open floor plan, complimented by the strategic placement of individual rooms in corner spaces, creating the illusion of intimacy.

Our aim was to preserve the charming character of the property, while adding a touch of modern elegance. The previous extensions had left brickwork mismatched, so we made the decision to render the brick and add stone cladding to specific sections of the exterior to reinforce the property's country aesthetic and add a further layer of character.

A highlight of the renovation is the grand wooden staircase, which is framed by a large glass frontal feature. This allows natural light to flow into the home, creating the illusion of a brighter and more spacious interior.

The result of our efforts is a beautifully transformed home, with spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. The renovation has breathed new life into the property, and has added considerable value to its character.
